Kira's boutique

What card can you make for a girlie girl that loves shopping, clothes, handbags, shoes?  My instant reaction how about a shoe shop?  I wanted to make something quite 3D that you could not buy anywhere else.  I also wanted to use the classy colours of black, pink and white, it was only when "playing" that this card seemed to materialise form nowhere.  The canopy of the shop was the basis of the card and the cardstock is the retired SU groom cardstock and I have cut the pink Bazill to fit in between each line.  The lace to the canopy is cut from black paper using the lace SU punch.  The white card is from Payper Box and again the base of the store front is from the retired SU Groom cardstock. To keep the canopy out at this angle I have made a black triangle all the way along underneath and glued this in position.  The lower section is similar but it is in a hollow rectangular shape the same as the shoe stands.  The signage is cut from the London alpabet from Go Kreate and the shoes from the Sizzix dies.  With just some brads, eyelets and a gem this completes the card.  Always bear in mind that when you do make something so 3D it would need a box made if you were posting it or a much larger envelope to fit the excess volume in.  Happy Birthday Kira. x
